In this 36th edition, the real estate tokenization company has been responsible for recognizing the talent of Pedro Martínez, coach of BAXI Manresa.
For the second consecutive year, Reental, a leading company in the real estate tokenization sector, has sponsored the Giant Basketball Awards. In this 36th edition, the company has been responsible for rewarding the talent of Pedro Martínez, one of the most successful Spanish coaches, who this time received the 2024 Giant Award for Best Coach in the Endesa League.
“Last year we began this collaboration with Giants del Basket by awarding the men's award for the highest progression to the young player of Joventut de Badalona Joel Parra and this year we continue to award him the Giant Award for Best Coach of the Endesa League. As a professional player in this sport that I was for sixteen years, I know the effort involved in this position within a team and the scarce public recognition they usually receive. For this reason, for Reental, it is an honor to reward Pedro Martínez,” he says Eric Sánchez, co-founder and CEO of Reental.
Pedro Martínez currently coaches BAXI Manresa, a modest team from the Endesa League that he has managed to qualify this year to compete in the Copa del Rey, which is being played this week in Malaga. He started in the elite of the bench as an assistant coach at Joventut, in the 1989-90 season. He has played for a multitude of teams from all over Spain, such as Salamanca (without men's basketball in the elite anymore), Granada, Menorca, Ourense, Gran Canaria, Vitoria, Madrid (with Students), Girona, Cajasol and Manresa.
In his extensive record, he was runner-up in the Basketball Champions League in the 2021-22 season with BAXI Manresa, and was also chosen as the best coach. In the 2017-18 season, he was runner-up in the Endesa League with Kirolbet Baskonia, and a year later he was runner-up in the Endesa Super Cup with the same team. The 2016-17 season was a turning point in his coaching career, managing with Valencia Basket to become champion of the Endesa League and runner-up in the Eurocup and the Copa del Rey
