At the successful event “Tradfi and DeFi: The Future of Finance” held the previous Friday, November 8, 2024, which we organized in Barcelona together with the Barcelona Finance Hub. We had the pleasure of sharing some time with our investors. In addition to giving a talk and developing super interesting DeFi topics, we were able to exclusively present the results of a new report.

Since our origin in Spain, we have grown steadily to become the European reference and a global meeting point for Spanish-speaking investors. Today, we present to you our second”II Report on the profile of investors in tokenized real estate projects“, in which we share with you below some of the most relevant trends and lessons learned from the past year.

Investor Profile

In our analysis, based on a survey of nearly 2,000 investors from 86 countries, we have confirmed that the The predominant profile is still that of a Spanish male, aged between 30 and 55 years. This group represents the majority of our investors and reflects how the millennial generation continues to lead, although we have noticed significant growth in the participation of Generation X.

Our International Expansion

Although the majority of our investors continue to come from Spain, we are seeing exciting growth in Latin America and other regions, including Europe and Asia. This increase encourages us to continue to improve our proposal and reach more people interested in the potential of tokenization.

Investment Preferences

At Reental, we have seen how our investors mainly prefer the residential sector, with 87% of them choosing conventional properties. However, interest in other innovative typologies, such as coliving and student residences, is booming, reflecting the evolution of the market and our own initiatives to diversify investment opportunities.

Profitability and Reasons to Invest

Many of you have shared that profitability is a key reason for choosing tokenized projects, with expectations of obtaining annual returns between 5% and 10%. We are proud to say that in 2023 we exceeded these expectations, offering an average annual return of 13%. But beyond the numbers, we know that flexibility, accessibility and the possibility of reinvesting benefits are aspects that value when investing with us.
